The extended pipeline of 213km long connects with the company’s another gas pipeline in Fujioka City. By extending Shin Tokyo Line, INPEX intends to meet gradually increasing gas demand in the North Kanto area.
The pipeline extension is expected to contribute to a stable and efficient natural gas supply through the company’s gas
pipeline system.
The firm has begun commercial operations of the pipeline and is delivering gas produced from the Minami-Nagaoka gas field and other fields in Niigata Prefecture.
Starting from Joetsu City, the pipeline runs parallel to INPEX’s another natural gas pipeline called Tokyo Line and reaches Adachi Ward, Tokyo.
