As per the partnership, Marubeni will sell Innovalight’s silicon ink and processes to solar cell and panel manufacturing companies throughout Japan.
Innovalight manufactures a proprietary nanotechnology-based silicon ink and licenses a proprietary platform process which allows for a simple upgrade to solar cell manufacturing production lines to boost performance of solar cells and lower production costs.
Marubeni general manager Koji Kuroda said solar cell manufacturers in Japan are interested in Innovalight’s technology to help improve the economics of producing high-efficiency solar cells.
