AMEC will assist INEOS Bio in developing engineering design packages for future INEOS Bio technology licensees.

AMEC will ensure the engineering designs for bioenergy facilities using INEOS Bio’s advanced waste-to-bioenergy technology are optimized and customized for each site location.

INEOS and Bio AMEC are currently collaborating on the first commercial-scale facility, Indian River BioEnergy Center in Vero Beach, Florida, to deploy advanced waste-to-bioenergy technology developed by the parties.

The first facility is expected to be operational in the second quarter of next year, and will produce eight million gallons of advanced cellulosic ethanol and 6MW of renewable power, while providing a solution for dealing with waste that would normally end up in a landfill.

AMEC is an international engineering, procurement and construction management firm.
