Mr Bansal has over 35 years of work experience in oil and gas Sector, comprising of business development, research and development, operating IndianOil’s refineries and technical services.
He is director of planning & business development and member of the board of Indian Oil (IOCL) since 2005. He is also chairman of Green Gas, a JV of IndianOil and GAIL for City Gas Business in the cities of Agra and Lucknow and IndianOil Petronas Private, a JV of IndianOil and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronaws), Malaysia, for LPG import and marketing business in India.
As director, Mr Bansal guides IOCL towards expanding in the Indian and overseas markets. The main responsibilities entail IndianOil’s diversification into gas sector, integration along hydrocarbon chain through petrochemicals and exploration and production initiatives.
He is also responsible for the company’s overseas business development efforts. He is also steering IndianOil’s renewable /nuclear energy and bio-fuel initiatives.
