State Chief Ministered Omar Abdulla chaired a meeting of the state’s high-level officials that outlined the contours of the implementation.
Chenab Valley Power Projects will develop the said capacity of hydro-electricity from three power projects at Pakuldul, Kiru and Kawar.
Commenting on the plans Abdulla remarked that self-reliance in power generation looms large on the economic spectrum of the state and a multi- pronged strategy has been put in place by his government to make necessary dent in power generation and its distribution.
The state government will also develop a 450 MW Dulhasti hydro-energy power (HEP) project as part of the second phase of the plan.
