Himachal Pradesh Revenue Minister Kaul Singh Thakur told the state assembly that the government is formulating a panel which would include divisional commissioners and respective deputy commissioners under them to take action against the defaulters.
Penalty would be imposed on the guilty companies as suggested by the committees, reported Press Trust of India citing Thakur.
The minister said that it has secured details of all the hydro projects from the notification issued by chairman of Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission.
In past three years, the state government has allotted land on lease to 47 companies that also include trusts, public undertakings along with hydro projects and the authorities obtained about INR609.59m ($9.44m) as lease amount.
