India’s National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has invited pre-qualification applications for the 1000MW Siang Middle project in Arunachal Pradesh.
NHPC has agreed to take up the 4 x 250MW project, which will include the construction of a 188m-high concrete face rockfill dam, a 23.5m-wide underground power house cavern and tunnels.
NHPC wants to hear from experienced contractors / joint ventures with experience in the construction of concrete face rockfill dams and underground power houses.
The sale of pre-qualification document closes on 9 March 2004.
