The reopening of the facility has created 21 full-time jobs and will support approximately 100 jobs in the New Hampshire forest industry by utilizing clean whole tree wood chips.
“The entire New Hampshire community should take great pride in the renewed operation of the Indeck Alexandria Energy Center,” said Harry Smith, plant manager for the Alexandria facility. “The foresight of Governor Lynch and the Legislature to develop policies to encourage clean power development, the willingness of the Alexandria community to host the facility, and the cooperation shown by Public Service of NH all contributed to the success of this project. We look forward to long term, successful operation of the Alexandria biomass facility.”
