Drilling of pilot well was done with laterals in two coal seams and the completion has been run.

The company said that the expected sequence of coals encountered are well developed and the logs are encouraging.

The rig has been demobilized and the well head is in place while the pilot production testing equipment is on its way to site.

The company added that dewatering is expected to start in the next few days and after the dewatering completion, a long term production test will be carried out using production testing equipment of the company.

IGas CEO Andrew Austin said that the company continues to show progress in developing its resources and this pilot production site is an important step forward in demonstrating the potential of its Staffordshire acreage.
