Consulting services and technology solutions provider ICF International has secured a $48m recompete contract from a major US utility for the construction of a 500kV electrical transmission line.

As per the agreed terms, ICF will carry out biological surveys and provide on-site monitors to ensure compliance with environmental requirements during the construction period.

ICF International vice president Ted Lee said, "This work has contributed to the client’s ability to construct one of the nation’s largest transmission lines under the most rigorous environmental requirements. With the great demand for new transmission projects, ICF is poised to apply this experience across the country."

The company provides consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients in achieving full compliance with the environmental and regulatory requirements associated with building major infrastructure projects.
