Ukraine’s Finance Ministry reported in early June that the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) may give a US$106M loan to Ukraine to finance the modernisation of the country’s hydroelectric power plants.
Officials from the Ukrainian government and the IBRD discussed the matter in Kyiv on 6 June. The Finance Ministry noted that the project would improve the operational stability and reliability of electricity supplies in Ukraine.
