Iberdrola Renovables stated that the wind farm which is planned to begin in spring 2008 will have an installed power capacity of almost 99MW.
The company’s new wind facility, which will be located in the Gilliam County in the US state of Oregon, will consist of 47 Suzlon 2.1MW unitary power wind generators and will be capable of supplying electricity to around 45,800 homes.
Specifically, the customers of the electricity produced by the Iberdrola Renovables Pebble Springs wind farm will be the Department of Water and Energy of Los Angeles for 68.7MW, and the cities of Burbank and Glendale for 10MW and 20MW, respectively.
