Iberdrola Renovables said that the wind farm’s acquisition is part of the 2005 framework agreement with Gamesa to acquire 700MW of wind capacity now under development, in Spain and Italy, between 2006 and 2009.

Iberdrola Renovables noted that the 16.15MW first phase of the La Torrecilla wind farm is on stream, while the 28.05MW second phase is under development.
