French wind development company Perfect Wind has been acquired by Spanish renewables player Iberdrola for €52 million.

Perfect Wind has a portfolio of projects totaling 600 MW, 10 MW of which correspond to a wind farm in the testing phase and 86 MW of projects in an advanced stage of development.

Iberdrola has also acquired an 11% stake in Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa from Corporación IBV, bringing its stake to 17% of total equity, in a deal worth €445 million.

The Perfect Wind and Gamesa deals follow a swathe of recent Iberdrola acquisitions in Greece (Rokas), the United States (Community Energy Inc) and China, where it has signed a framework agreement with the Municipality of Bayannoer (north) in order to find sites for the installation of wind farms.
