Located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte the project has been divided into five equal-sized wind farms, reported the Bloomberg citing a company emailed statement.
The Calango project is expected to be operational by the end of 2013.
Iberdrola and Neoenergia are also also constructing 10 other projects in the Latin American region employing a cummulative 288MW of Gamesa’s wind turbines.
Iberdrola owns a 39% stake in Neoenergia besides having subsidiaries such as Iberdrola Renovables, Iberdrola Portugal, Scottish Power, Iberdrola USA, Elektro and Electropaz.
