Awarded late last month, the contract requires the company to replace existing Compact C Merlin Gerin circuit breakers with a new type of Compact NSX in selected distribution switchboards of the main distribution system of the reactor hall of the power plant.

Specifically, the contract covers processing of project documentation, as well as delivery and implementation, including the required quality checks and tests.

The implementation is scheduled to be carried out in shutdown periods in 2014 and 2015.

Owned by Czech energy company CEZ Group, Temelín NPP generates electricity in two 1,000MW production units equipped with Voda-Vodyanoi Energetichesky Reaktor (VVER) pressurized water reactors.
