Russia’s OAO Hydro Wholesale Generating Company (HydroOGK) is discussing with Norway’s Statkraft the possibility of building a 'mid-capacity' hydroelectric power plant at an unspecified location in Russia, according to the Interfax news agency.

Detailed work on the project, including a decision on the site of the proposed plant, will begin in the near future. HydroOGK’s Director, Vyacheslav Sinyugin, said that Statkraft is ready to participate in the project both financially and with technology.
