UK-based Hydratight will supply its advanced tensioner system to two Westinghouse AP-1000 nuclear power plants in China.
Hydratight will provide two of its Biach self contained tensioner (SCT) systems each of four tensioners for the generating plants located at Haiyang and Zhejiang.
The SCT can reduce the manpower and time to close a reactor vessel following maintenance and refueling.
The system comprises of an elongation monitoring system which helps eliminate trim passes by showing actual stud elongation during the tensioning process.
Delivery is expected in July this year.
