The Huaneng Liaoning Changtu Taiping wind power project, which is wholly owned by the company, will include 33 turbines each with a capacity of 1.5MW.

According to the company, total investment for this project is estimated to be approximately RMB469m ($71.3m).

China-based Huaneng Power has a controlled generation capacity of 50,473MW and equity-based generation capacity of 46,664MW.

The company’s power plants are located in 17 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, and Huaneng Power has also a wholly-owned power company in Singapore.
