The Huaneng Yunnan Chuxiong project will be built at an investment of RMB2.65bn ($420.6m).

The company will fund 20% of the project capital and the rest will be funded by bank loans.

The project will include two 300MW class combined-cycle gas turbine cogeneration units.

Huaneng Power International has controlled generation capacity of 59,078.5MW and equity-based generation capacity of 54,167.4MW.

The company’s power plants are located in 19 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of China.
