The power plants are being constructed at Wylfa on the Isle of Anglesey, and Oldbury in South Gloucestershire.

Under the contract, the company will partner with Horizon to provide development and planning, site investigation, engineering, environmental permitting and waste management, and project management support.

In addition, the company is working in collaboration with three other Horizon strategic framework partners to support Horizon’s goal to prepare the lead Wylfa and the Oldbury sites for construction of the new power station and associated developments.

Jacobs Group vice president Conor Doyle said, ”We are pleased to support Horizon’s vision for a new generation of nuclear power stations that achieve a sustainable socio-economic legacy.”

Work under the three-year contract, whose value remain undisclosed, is being carried out from several Jacobs’ offices in the UK.
