Hitachi Plant Technologies and Mayekawa Manufacturing have agreed to cooperate in the field of compressors for oil, gas and chemical plants in Brazil.
Both the firms consider to form a Brazilian joint venture in fiscal 2011 to engage in compressor sales and maintenance.
The joint venture company intends to set up its headquarters and maintenance facilities at the plant operated in Sao Paulo by Mayekawa Manufacturing Group’s local subsidiary, Mayekawa Do Brazil.
The joint venture will also engage in repair and maintenance of the compressors supplied by other companies.
The joint venture will enable Hitachi Plant Technologies to bolster its compressor sales and establish maintenance operations, and will help Mayekawa Manufacturing strengthen its compressor maintenance business in Brazil.
