Mr Tripodo will replace Wade Pursell, who will be stepping down as executive vice president and CFO, effective June 25, 2008.
Mr Tripodo is currently the executive vice president and CFO of US-based drilling services provider Tesco, and has over 28 years of experience, including various executive positions, in the energy industry. Mr Tripodo, who has served on Helix’s board of directors since 2003, will resign from the board.
