In his new role, Mr Brighton will oversee the consenting process for the company’s development program for biomass-fueled electricity generating stations including implementation of Helius Energy’s first 65MW biomass power plant at Stallingborough in North East Lincolnshire, UK.

He will also help the company to identify additional sites for future electricity generation, and combined heat and power schemes. As former planning director for Savills, Mr Brighton has 20 years experience in industrial planning processes, particularly energy and infrastructure developments in the UK and overseas.
