India's Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has been awarded two hydroelectric power contracts by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), worth a total of US$173M.

It has secured the Chutak and the Nimo Bazgo projects for US$89.4M and US$83.6M respectively. Both are located in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

HCC has won six hydroelectric projects in the space of the last twelve months, including Uri Stage II in J&K, Chamera Stage III in Himachal Pradesh, Teesta Stage IV in West Bengal and Sawalkot project in J&K.
