The company also carried testing to generate the full rated capacity of 82.5MW, followed by some operational trails.
The remaining three units of the power plant will be sequentially synchronized by the end of June, and will be commissioned soon after.

Located on the river Alaknanda at Shrinagar in Tehri / Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, the 330MW hydropower project features four units, each with a generation capacity of 82.5MW.
The project is expected to provide clean energy through the Northern Grid.
The state of Uttar Pradesh has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project and 12% of the power generated will be given to the state of Uttarakhand for free.
