GT Solar International has secured three new orders totaling $91m from customers in Asia, for its advanced sapphire crystallization furnaces.
GT Solar has received two orders from Alpha Crystal Technology and Tera Xtal of Taiwan, while the third order comes from a new Chinese customer, the Lingyang Group.
The company claimed that its crystallization process technology and global support resources offer customers a path to productive and profitable sapphire manufacturing operations with a greater return on their investment.
GT Solar is a provider of polysilicon production technology, and sapphire and silicon crystalline growth systems and materials for the solar, LED and other specialty markets.
