Grundfos has partnered with TaKaDu to accelerate the use of big data for better water network efficiency.

The partnership will combine Grundfos’ technological expertise with TaKaDu’s analytical event management solutions to convert raw data into end-customer value,

The companies have already started a joint pilot at Danish water utility firm, Frederikshavn Forsyning, as part of their efforts to test tech solutions in a live environment.

The use of data analytics in water utilities will enable to enhance operations and decision making, as it will provide real-time information about events, such as leakages or assets failures, including the time it started, magnitude, location and others.

In addition, the solution will allow utilities to detect any incident at an early stage, helping to increase visibility and reduce water loss and improve customer service

According to Grundfos, the future digital offerings leveraged by the partnership will support water utilities to reach new operational targets for saving energy and water, in addition to managing water network assets in an economical way.

Grundfos global water utility group president Kenth Hvid Nielsen said: “Being a global leader in our segment, we have worked with connected solutions for quite a while, and we have got the experience and technological capability to offer monitoring services to our customers.”

TaKaDu founder and CEO Amir Peleg said: “We are very excited to partner with Grundfos in the global water market, and expand our comprehensive event management solution to new dimensions of data, related to energy and network operations.”
