The firm which each year transforms over two million tonnes of materials into high quality recyclate, and yet more into 130MW of renewable energy, will develop and deliver a 200,000 tonne, GBP150m MBT, AD and Gasification solution for the city’s residual waste at Polmadie, Glasgow.
The project will move Glasgow from its traditional reliance on landfill, diverting 90% of municipal waste whilst driving enhanced recycling and achieving a net carbon saving of some 89,457 tonnes CO2e per annum.
Financial close is expected in May 2012 before the commencement of work in April 2013 and an anticipated service commencement in December 2015.
