The company will deliver a total of 350 turbines each with a capacity of 1.6MW for the BP projects that, when in operation, will have a combined capacity of 560MW.

Some 88 turbines will be supplied for BP’s Mehoopany wind farm located in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, while the remaining 262 units will be delivered to the Flat Ridge 2 project in south-central Kansas.

Both power projects are expected to commence operations by year-end 2012 and will be operated by BP Wind Energy.

GE will also provide maintenance services for the wind turbines for five years.
