A subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources remains the majority owner and operator of the project, which has has been in operation since 2007.

Located in Sterling and Coke counties, the facility includes 342 units of GE Energy’s 1.5MW machine and 65 units of Siemens’ 2.3MW machine.

The Capricorn Ridge project is capable of generating enough electricity to power about 220,000 homes while avoiding about 952,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
