The company will supply 35 3.2-103, and 26 2.75-120 turbines. A full service arrangement is also included in the contract.
Pattern Development CEO Mike Garland said: "We have worked with GE in the past, and the GE team and technology stepped up to the challenge at Meikle and helped provide us with an innovative and efficient solution to a complex site."
Said to be the largest wind project in British Columbia, the Meikle facility will generate electricity to serve 54,000 British Columbian homes. It is planned to commence commercial operations in late 2016.
The facility will increase the province’s installed wind power capacity by 38%, Pattern Energy said.
