The power plant, which features two GE Frame 9FA gas turbines, is owned by Malaysian electric utility Tenaga National Berhad.

GE said that the maintenance program will enable the plant to maintain high levels of fuel efficiency and help reduce maintenance cycles by one third.

The contract will run until 2014, and during that time, GE will supply OEM parts and services, including technical advisory services, repair and training.

GE said it has installed more than 100 gas, steam and hydro turbines in Malaysia.
