As per the order, GE will provide 31 units of its 1.6-100 wind turbine from its facility in Salzbergen, Germany, by the end of this year.

The order also requires GE to provide commissioning and technical advisory services for the facility.

The turbine installation and civil works of the power project will be carried out by Fina Enerji.

The wind project expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year and will supply enough clean, wind-generated electricity to meet the needs of about 14,000 Turkish households.

The power project supports the country’s plans to increase its wind energy production to 20,000MW by 2023.

Fina Enerji currently has 35 units of GE 2.5-100 wind turbine in operation at two wind power plant sites in Izmir and Hatay provinces for a total capacity of 87.5MW.

GE said the company anticipates to deploy about 1,200 of 2.5-100 units in the US within the next two years.
