Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI), through an agreement with Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI), will own and operate the wind turbine.
MTI has been awarded a grant by US Economic Development Administration to fund the power project.
And the additional funding was provided by the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Basin Electric Power Cooperative, General Electric and MTI.
Construction at Crow Lake began in October of 2010, and the project spans three counties in South Dakota, which has a capacity of 151.5MW.
