The wind power project is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2012.
Upon completion, the electricity generated by the power project and renewable energy attributes will be sold to DTE Energy under a long-term contract.
Invenergy is constructing an additional 102.4MW that will be transferred to DTE Energy upon completion.
The combined projects will consist of 133 units of 1.6MW GE Energy wind turbines, featuring 82.5m diameter rotors with 100m towers.
Invenergy CFO, COO Jim Murphy said this financing, together with the company’s bank loan facilities that were recently completed, provide Invenergy with a strong investor base for Gratiot County wind project.
