GE will supply 207 turbines to 13 projects of Bioenergy, which is planning to develop the cheapest wind energy in the world.
The projects are located in the northeastern state of Maranhao.
GE will supply another 170 turbines in the future.
In a government-conducted auction held in December 2012, Bioenergy agreed to sell energy from wind farms at BRL87.77 ($46) a megawatt-hour, which would make it the world’s lowest price for wind power.
