The 2.5-120 is expected to generate around 8 megawatts of power per year that can meet the energy needs of around 2,000 German households.

Max Bögl Wiesner, a joint venture of Max Bögl Group and Windkraft Oberpfalz, is the investor and operator of the new wind turbine project.

The wind turbine, which uses the power of Industrial Internet, is paired with the 120m rotor and a specially engineered hybrid tower with a hub height of 139m that allows for an efficient energy output.

The 2.5-120 is designed to analyse tens of thousands of data points every second to drive higher output and will improve services productivity, helping to manage wind’s variability.
