The two new wind farms to be developed by the company are 48MW project in Romania and 51MW project in Poland.

Following the Jarogniew-Moltowo (20MW) and Wartkowo (30MW) wind farms inaugurated in 2011, the Pagow facility will double the firm’s wind capacity in Poland, the company claimed.

The Gemenele wind farm in Romania will come on line in this year.

GDF Suez chairman and CEO Gerard Mestrallet said the development of the the firm’s wind projects in Romania and Poland demonstrates its desire to improve the diversification of the GDF Suez energy mix.
