Gazprom says that currently there are two production wells at the oil field having a total production of 170 tons per day.
Two production wells are currently in operation at the field, with total production running at 170 tons per day. The Otdelnoye field is located 70kms from Novosibirsk in the northern part of the Surgut District.
Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz general director Pavel Kryukov said: "Developing new non-gas-bearing areas, the enterprise with special thoroughness assesses the risks of man-made nature.
“The current approach to the most compact location of infrastructure and site facilities allows us to harmoniously combine the interests of the indigenous population with the economic efficiency of hydrocarbon production.”
Gazprom revealed its plans to drill over 20 wells at the Otdelnoye field in 2017–2018. These would include 13 horizontal wells.
According to the Russian oil firm, initial recoverable reserves of the Otdelnoye field were estimated at 4.8 million tons of oil. On the other hand, reserves in place of the oil field were estimated at 21 million tons of oil.
Gazprom stated that the oil-bearing capacity of the licence block was possible to predict after extensive and integrated analysis of all available geological details, seismic profiling analysis along with construction of an up-to-date geological model.
The viability of the onshore oil block was confirmed subsequently through a natural inflow of dry crude oil of up to 20 cubic meters per day, collected via exploratory wells.
Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz had bagged subsoil usage rights to the oil block after prevailing in an auction held in 2014 by the Department for Subsoil Use of the Urals Federal District.
Gazprom first deputy CEO Vadim Yakovlev said: “Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz continues to consistently expand its resource base in preparation for full-scale development. This summer, in particular, we began production at a remote group of fields in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“An integrated approach to the development of the region, together with good results in exploratory drilling, mean we can say, with confidence, that we will be able to continue maintaining stable production levels at Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz”.
