Spain-based Gas Natural is planning to enter the Portuguese market next year, Thomson Financial cites the Jornal de Negocios as reporting.
Gas Natural is also intending to enter into electricity generation by joining hands with Energias de Portugal and Galp Energia SGPS, according to the newspaper.
The company will apply to the country’s general directorate of Energy in Q4 2007 for a licence to market gas in Portugal.
