The company reported EBITDA of E725.9 million for the first quarter of 2008, a 15.4% increase compared to E629.1 million for the same period of 2007.
The distribution activity as a whole (Spain, Latin America and Italy) represented 50.3% of the Gas Natural EBITDA between January and March 2008, particularly notable being the contribution of regulated distribution in Spain, at 32.7%. Also of note was the weighting of electricity activity (Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico) in the total EBITDA, at 23.4%.
The net financial debt as at March 31, 2008, was E3.14 billion, with an indebtedness ratio of 32.3%. Gas Natural’s investments during the first quarter were E178.6 million, a figure 6.8% above that recorded in the same period of 2007.
