The development is the first move by Gas Natural in regard to the Endesa takeover saga for some time, as, until recent days, its offer conditions had been frozen by the Spanish Supreme Court.
However, it seems that takeover rival E.ON does not believe Gas Natural has been totally inactive. The German power titan has recently alleged that Gas Natural is colluding with Acciona to build a blocking stake of shareholders designed to prevent E.ON from completing a deal.
Gas Natural’s bid remains significantly short of rival E.ON’s offer in financial terms.
