Under the contract, Gamesa will deliver up to 57 of its 5MW G128 and G132 turbines between 2015 and 2016. The contract also includes ten years of operations and maintenance (O&M) services.
The agreement follows an earlier deal that Gamesa signed with TuuliWatti in October 2012. The deal was for the supply of 135MW of turbines, which include18MW of 4.5MW turbines for the Simo wind farm, 54MW and 32MW of 4.5MW turbines for the Pori and Tornio plants.
Gamesa also received orders for three 5MW turbines in Salo, southern Finland.
Gamesa CEO Ricardo Chocarro said that these agreements with Tuuliwatti endorse Gamesa’s leadership as technology provider and lend visibility to its strategic commitment to multi-megawatt wind turbines.
