Under the deal, Gamesa will install 72 of its G97-2.0 MW turbines at the projects comprising the 144MW Chui wind complex in Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil.
Gamesa will also carry out civil engineering work and provide operation as well as maintenance services for 15 years.
The turbines will be manufactured at Gamesa’s Camaçari factory with delivery due in the third quarter of 2014 for commissioning in the first quarter of 2015.

The latest contract brings Gamesa’s total orders in Brazil to over 1,400MW.
The deal is the second between Gamesa and Eolicas do Sul following a contract at the end of 2012 for 258MW of turbines at 10 wind farms in Brazil.
Eolicas do Sul is a subsidiary of the RÃo Bravo Investimentos y Eletrosul investment fund, which in turn is a subsidiary of Brazil’s national power company, Eletrobras.
