Under the contract, the company will be responsible for the delivery, installation and commissioning of 24 units of the G97-2.0MW turbines at Everbright’s first wind complex.

All the new turbines are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2015.

Further, Gamesa has agreed for the delivery of an additional 48MW during a second phase of the project next year.

In addition to strengthening Gamesa’s strategy in China, the latest deal also marks the beginning of business dealings with the Chinese customer.

Until now, Gamesa had delivered almost 250MW in China, with the latest deal involving the supply of 100MW to CGN, which followed similar contracts for 48MW of Fujian Energy and CGN’s another 49.3MW turbine delivery.
