Under the contracts, Gamesa will supply a total of 86 of its G97-2.0MW wind turbines at five wind farms located in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

The agreements, signed with customers of varying profiles, will boost Gamesa’s strategy in the market in which the company has diversified customer base.

Gamesa will build the wind turbines at its Indian factories and will deliver over the course of 2015.

The agreements also include the provision of the related operation and maintenance services under medium and long-term arrangements.

The company, till date, had signed supply agreements in India comprising capacity of close to 500MW.

Gamesa, technology provider and wind farm developer in India, has installed over 1,440MW and manages more than 1,150MW under O&M agreements in 2013.
