Canada-based exploration company Galaxy Graphite has obtained the required approval to begin drill program on its Laurier graphite project in Ontario.

The permit, issued by the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, is valid for three years.

The Laurier graphite property, 100% owned by Galaxy Graphite, is located in Laurier Township, Ontario, about 40km south-southeast of North Bay, Ontario. It covers nearly 2,300ha on 46 mining claims.

Work performed on the project in the summer of 2012 verified the reports from historic work on the property, and observed the presence of a zone of high grade graphite mineralization, with grades up to 22% graphite.

Galaxy Graphite is focused on exploring and developing graphite properties, particularly in the Grenville geological province in eastern Canada.
