The 13.8MW wind power facility employs six wind turbines and is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 8,000 homes annually.
Commenting on the wind farm, Gaelectric group finance director Barry Gavin said that the new wind farm is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the energy market.
The Carn Hill wind farm has provided 30 full-time and part-time jobs, during its development and construction phase.
Currently, Gaelectric has eight wind farm projects that are under various stages of development in Northern Ireland and 13 projects on the island of Ireland.
