The consortium of Samarco (43.5%), Minasliga (43.5%), Cemig (8%) and Andrade Utierrez’s Mineracao Rio Novo (5%) has decided to postpone construction of the 180MW Funil power plant in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The consortium asked the national electrical energy agency Aneel to establish clear energy transportation rules, so that it can decide on the project’s feasibility. Funil was to come on stream in three years.
